Thank you for choosing Greenends Holiday Cottages. By making a booking with us, you confirm that you have read and accepted these terms and conditions.

 

1. Booking & Payment

A £100 deposit is required to secure your booking. Your booking is confirmed once the deposit has been received and confirmation has been issued.

 

The remaining balance is due 6 weeks before your arrival date. If you book within 6 weeks of arrival, the full balance is payable when you book.

 

2. Cancellation by You

If you need to cancel your booking, please notify us by email as soon as possible. The date we receive your cancellation will determine the applicable refund.

 

• More than 6 weeks before the arrival date: A full refund of the booking balance will be provided, excluding the deposit.
•  
• Between 6 and 2 weeks before the arrival date: 50% of the booking balance will be refunded, excluding the deposit.
•  
• Within 2 weeks of the arrival date: No refund will be provided.

We recommend taking out suitable holiday insurance to cover cancellation, illness and other unexpected circumstances.

 

3. Exceptional Circumstances

We understand that serious and unexpected circumstances can sometimes prevent you from travelling.

 

If you need to cancel within 2 weeks of arrival due to an exceptional circumstance, such as the death of an immediate family member, serious illness or severe weather that makes travel genuinely impossible or unsafe, we may allow you to move your booking to an alternative date.

 

We will require reasonable supporting evidence, such as a medical certificate or other appropriate documentation.

 

There will be no cash refund, but your booking can be transferred to a new date, subject to availability. The full value of your original booking will be retained and transferred to your new dates. If the new dates are priced higher than the original booking, you will be required to pay the difference in price. No additional transfer fee will apply.

 

Your new dates must be agreed with us and the transfer must be requested before your original arrival date.

 

Please note that ordinary poor weather, illness or changes of plans will not qualify as an exceptional circumstance.

 

4. Changes to Your Booking

Any requests to change your booking are subject to availability and must be agreed with us in advance. We cannot guarantee that changes will be possible, particularly close to your arrival date.

 

5. Guests & Use of the Property

The property may only be occupied by the number of guests stated on your booking and must not exceed its maximum occupancy.

 

The property is provided for holiday accommodation only. Parties, events or gatherings involving additional guests are not permitted without our prior agreement.

 

Guests are expected to treat the property and its contents with care and respect and are responsible for any damage beyond reasonable wear and tear.

 

6. Arrival & Departure

Check-in is from 3.00pm on your arrival day and check-out is by 10.00am on your departure day.

 

7. If We Need to Cancel

In the unlikely event that we need to cancel your booking, we will contact you as soon as possible and offer an alternative date or a full refund of payments made to us, as appropriate.

 

8. Complaints

If you experience any problems during your stay, please contact us as soon as possible so that we have the opportunity to resolve them.

 

9. Privacy Policy

Your rights are protected by the Data Protection Act 1998 and Greenends Holiday Cottages is fully committed to ensuring that you have the full protection afforded by legislation. Our Data Protection Policy governs how we collect and handle all information from any source, including any personal information collected over the Internet via this website. Where you are required or requested to submit specific personal information within this website, further details of the policy and its operation will be provided on the page in question.

Individuals have rights of access to information held about them by Greenends Holiday Cottages and anyone wishing to have access to such information should contact hello@greenends.co.uk. A fee may be payable for this service and details of the current fee can be obtained by contacting hello@greenends.co.uk.
