HOW TO FIND US
From the M6 – From the SOUTH take junction 40, by passing Penrith town, follow the A686 to Alston.
From the NORTH take junction 44 following the A689 to Brampton, The road by passes Brampton, stay on the A689 which turns right to Alston.
When you reach Alston turn right up the cobbled street through the town centre. At the end of the village take the left fork, the A689, following signs to Nenthead, Stanhope and Durham. After 2.5 miles you will pass Nent Hall Hotel, cross over the bridge and take the first left onto the single track road, follow this uphill keeping right at the bend, after 1 mile Greenends is on the right.
From the North East – From Newcastle follow the A69 past Hexham to Carlisle until you reach the A686 to Alston. When you reach Alston turn left up the cobbled street through the town centre. At the end of the village take the left fork, the A689, following signs to Nenthead, Stanhope and Durham. After 2.5 miles you will pass Nent Hall Hotel, cross over the bridge and take the first left onto the single track road, follow this uphill keeping right at the bend, Greenends is on the right after1 mile.
From the M1 and South East – From the M1 drive north to the A1(M) and take the A66 (W)/A6108 exit toward Brough/Penrith/Richmond/Scotch Corner following the A66 and Barnard Castle signs. After approx 11 miles turn right onto the B6277 to Barnard Castle, in the town turn right onto the A67 and then left to the B6278 following signs to Stanhope. At Stanhope turn left on A689 towards Alston. When you reach Nenthead turn right at the first junction (the Community shop will be on your left) veer right up the cobbled street following the road round a sharp bend to the right. Greenends is on the left after 1 mile. Â
